Andy started his radio life aged 16 working for his local hospital radio station and enjoyed his time there until 1999 when he was offered the chance to work at MFM 103.4 (Now part of the Heart Network).

Cutting his teeth on the networked overnights he was then offered the chance to move to the networked evening show and hasn’t looked back since.

In the years since then Andy has worked around the north of England, spending time at Viking FM, The Bay, Imagine FM, Silk FM and more.

Andy made the move to afternoons (or “Drivetime”) in 2002 and has remained on that time slot most of the time since (with a lot of Breakfast Show cover thrown in for good measure) including an extended 6 year period hosting UTV station Wish FM’s “Drive” show.

Currently Andy is back with UTV working with Tower FM on their “Home Run” show and can be heard weekdays between 3-7pm. Andy also presents the “Saturday Sport “Show.

Andy can also be heard presenting “The Super Station Dance” on the Super Station, Orkney, Saturday from 8pm.
